The stretchy Candy Bead bracelet that TJ showed me last week got me inspired to try my own. It turned out really quite pretty and easy. All these fancy-dancy shaped two-hole beads are pretty intimidating to the ordinary bead stringer like me, but this was ok.

Take the long big hole needle - I finally had to retire my old needle and get a new pack - I have to say - I really like these! - thread your elastic, and string a Candy bead alternating with a seed bead. In order  to make sure that I did not mess up and string on the wrong hole, I used this mantra, "flat side up - top hole, seedbead, flat side up - top hole ... "

Once I had enough for the length of the bracelet, I stopped the beads from falling off with a clothes pin, and cut another piece of elastic. Now - string the other side, using the other hole in the Candy bead, and a seed bead in between.

Once you have the second hole strung, knot the elastic back onto itself to make the bracelet into a circle. Then knot the other side. Bingo - you are done!

Of course - you can use any colour combo you like - but this one is particularly pretty.
